Heart Attack
We are well equipped to stop a heart attack in its tracks with Central Florida’s first Code STEMI program. This rapid response program coordinates the efforts of local EMS agencies with Florida Hospital emergency departments, flight team, catheterization labs and cardiologists. They are notified before the patient’s arrival allowing them to prepare in advance reducing treatment time for a better chance of survival. We also have an average door-to-balloon time of less than 90 minutes, which is the golden standard for treatment time of blocked arteries.
