You can prevent a heart attack and a stroke by staying healthy and following these rules:
- Maintain a healthy weight.
- Control your cholesterol and blood pressure.
- Walk briskly or participate in moderate activity for 30 minutes a day.
- Limit alcohol.
- For diabetics, keep your blood sugar under control.
- Eat more fish, fruits, vegetables and less salt.
- Don’t smoke.
- Manage stress and anger.
- Get a flu shot every year.
